I am a missionary who was
saved by Christ in Cusco and I work in Cusco serving The Lord as a teacher with
the ministry “Equipping Pastors and Leaders”, as well as planting “Ven-Id” a
church in Cusco, Peru.
In 1997, two years after my conversion, while I was helping
a missionary in area of Chumbivilcas, Cusco, I had a great desire
for the brother and sisters in the rural areas around Cusco, those who speak
Quechua. I love them and want to give my life and time for them.
God allowed me to see the great need for workers in
the harvest, as well as learning and seeing the hunger for God that the
brothers and sisters had to know better our Savior and Lord. So, I talked with
my pastor about the desire and passion I had and he told me; “God is calling you to serve
Him”. My pastor was a great example and help to me. He helped me take
the next steps to prepare myself for His calling through Christian and
theological education. (Baptist Seminary of Peru 1999-2002)
The Apostle Paul is a great inspiration for my life.
“But I do not account my life of any value nor as
precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I
received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” (Acts 20:24)
and finally confirmed with confidence and certainty,
“7 I have fought the
good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there
is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous
judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who
have loved his appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7-8).
Thank you, Lord, for your promises and for protecting
us who are so fragile and weak.
My Testimony
I
was born in a catholic home that was devoted to the traditions of the church.
My parents followed the same
path that their parents followed and build their home upon the same traditions.
My adolescent
years were passed without any thought of morality or fear of the true creator,
because my example to follow did not have a bit of morality either. I grew up
seeing that deceit was part of humanity, seeing that getting drunk was natural
and part of a religious culture. Seeing the naturalness of how my parents and
friends followed the same customs, I also decided to embark on that adventure.
I fell into
the hands of cheaters and deceivers, but I have to admit that I was the one who
decided to follow that bad path. My adolescence was met with sadness in the
home of my parents and being mistreated because of alcohol and bad company. It
was then that I decided to leave my home, to make a long trip to the capital
(Lima). I worked with a friend of my dad for almost two years, while I was
still in high school. There I began to drink, by the same influence of my
friends and co-workers. This led me to other sins that are not worth mentioning,
but that I do remember how much damage they did to my life and health.
I do not blame my relatives and friends. The apostle Paul said; "The saying is trustworthy and deserving of
full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom
I am the foremost." 1 Tim. 1:15 I was conceived in sin and that was
what I was showing, so that God's grace is shown greater in me. Back to Cusco
(where I was born and grew up) these sins were growing and had more control
over me. I rejected the authority of my parents to follow my own path. But God
knew my open and dishonorable rebellion for which I would have to pay. "Do not be deceived; God cannot be
mocked: for whatever a man sows, that will he also reap " Gal. 6:7
God had to use the death of my father to bring me to his Son, my Lord. My
father was the principal person in my life, and I would have given my life for
him, as we spent many years working in the fields together. I learned to be a
good worker because of him. In my foolishness I shook my finger at God and
said: “how can a loving God tragically take my father from me?” I cried and
dedicated myself to drinking more to show my friends my sadness for the one I
loved.
Through the patience of my Creator He decided to intervene for me. My older brother (Florencio) was whom God
used to bring me to the light and the freedom of the truth. I brought in the
new year in 1995 with a big drinking party that lasted a week. I was lying on my bed because of my
drunkenness, throwing up blood for a few day. I said to myself, where are my
best friends? Who can come care for me? NOBODY! But God had prepared this
moment to bring me His Word, the Gospel.
My brother had been praying for me, with other Friends of his church and
the seminary where he was studying, asking that God would show me and show me
his mercy.
In February of that year, in a youth camp put on by the Baptist Churches in
the Sacred Valley, God intervened in my life.
I understood that I was lost and without hope, separated from God and on
the path of eternal suffering called Hell.
The only way to come to God was to receive the gift that He had provided
for me, the salvation and forgiveness of sins through His son Jesus Christ.
I went to Jesus asking for forgiveness and salvation. I remember the Little
prayer I made: “Lord, I don’t know how to
ask you, but I know that you need to save me, forgive me, I am a sinner, I am a
sinner, I am a sinner.”
I have walked with my Lord 25 years now, and I am a different man
transformed by Gods love and His Word. I dedicate my life to Him to be an instrument
in His hands, and I am what I am thanks to Him, my Lord. In Christ there is salvation and pardon. Come
to Him!
Missionary Project and Plan
Vision
1. It’s my desire in the Lord to establish the work with strong leadership
and ministries comitted to the Great Commision.
2. We want a church growing 100% in its commitment to the vision of the
leadership. Members working in the
teaching and discipleship of the Body of Christ.
3. We long for the conversion of our community to be saved of their sins.
(Evangelism with tracts, going door to
door, meetings at the homes of new believers, and open air preaching)
4. Working to reach our objectives and goals, not as a rule, but as a need
imposed by our Lord
5. We ask to be a church faithful to the Word of God with sound doctrine
and faithfuness to the gospel.
6. We are pleading to establish other churches with the help of this church
and thus fulfil the Great Commision. We are already praying and planning for to
start the next church.

EPYL (Equipping Pastors and
Leaders) Ministry
Equipping Pastors and Leaders Col. 1:9
We are training pastors and spiritual leaders to be
dedicated to expounding, and proclaiming the precious gospel with sound
doctrine. Pastors and spiritual leaders in the rural areas of-
Ccatcca – quispicanchi.
Desaguadero – Puno.
Calca – Valle Sagrado de los Incas.
Curahuasi-Totoray.
These
trainings started in 2010 and continue training with the help of other pastors.
In
August, the first class will graduate in
Desaguadero-Puno.

Program “Vacation Bible
School”
We
have one vacation bible school in January and another in February with the help
of a local church.
These
trips are missionary in nature, with kids, teens, and adults to be a blessing
to the churches we serve. (I n our history are the churches where we have been)

Situation of the Church
The Baptist church Ven-Id, has its own church property
and is oficially registered. We have 50 people, including children, teens and
families who attend the Sunday service.

Prayer Requests:
1. For the new families that they can be incorperated
into the church. They they would marry and be baptized. Por
las familias nuevas que se integraron. Que puedan casarse y bautizarse.
2. For our building. We need to repair the pastor’s house
and put a roof on the church.
3. For my health and spiritual life. That God would
always put the desire to persevere in me and not become discuraged by the
trials that come to missionaries.
4. For the new church that we want to start in Cusco.
That God will guide us to His perfect location that would provide for us
everything we need in His grace.
5. For my family, my loving wife and children. That they
would continue loving and growing in the Lord.
